The Maple Ridge Japanese Language Association is a non-profit organization that teaches children and teens aged 6 to 21 both spoken and written (hiragana, katakana, and kanji) Japanese language, as well as Japanese culture and crafts. Classes are taught by Japanese teachers and can culminate in Grade 12 exam preparation.

The school meets Saturday mornings September-June, in the Fraser Room at the Maple Ridge Public Library from 10:15 – 12:15.
